Respectful of history, arraigned in line

Voices in dialogue, muted in reference

Marvels of mystery, preserved with deference

To sheer accumulation of position and creed

There is your entry, here is what I need

This place is a chapel, my pilgrimage of reference

A universe observed from perspectives of preference

The bookcase keeper discreetly withdraws himself

And grants us open access to shelf after shelf.
